Project Title:

Idol Culture, Masculinity, and Hong Kong Identity: A Reception Study of the Mirror Phenomenon
(project reference number: UGC/FDS13/H01/23)(part-time; 1 post)

Initial appointment period: To commence as soon as possible for 2 months.
Key Responsibilities

The appointee is expected to:

(1) Collect research related materials;
(2) Process the research data;
(3) Prepare project reports and other related documents;
(4) Write research articles;
(5) Assist in any other project-related duties as assigned by the PI;
Skills and Qualifications:

Applicants should possess:
(a) an honours degree or above in Cultural Studies, Communication Studies, or other Humanities and Social Science related fields;
(b) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
(c) strong communication and interpersonal skills;
(d) good knowledge of Microsoft Office software; and at least two years of related working experience;

Ng Teng Fong․ Sino Group Belt and Road Research Institute

 

 (4 headcounts; full-time for 9 months, renewable subject to performance and funding availability)

Responsibilities

· Assist project leader on research projects on “Belt and Road Studies - Development of Economy, Industries and Trade in Belt and Road Countries”;

· Assist in liaising and communication with external stakeholders;

· Assist in organizing research activities including conferences and seminars; and

· Assist in data collection, data analysis, etc..

Requirements:

· A doctoral degree or equivalent qualification on Belt and Road Studies (for Research Fellow and Research Associate position);

· At least 5 years post-qualification or relevant research experiences;

· Have a good command of both written and spoken English and if possible fluent speaking Mandarin;

· Have a strong organizational and communication skills.
