New Appointments of Senior Management
Dear colleagues and students,
The College is pleased to announce that following a review of the organisation structure of the College, the Board of Governors has decided that, as part of its overall strategy on the further development of the College, to increase the resources at the senior management of the College.
With effect from 1 July, 2018, Professor LEE Chack-fan, currently Chancellor, will become the Interim President of the College. The posts of Vice President (Research) and Vice President (Communication and Student Affairs) will be created to underpin the President in discharging the responsibilities under their respective portfolios.
Upon the creation of the two posts, the responsibilities at the Vice President level will be reshuffled and the following new appointments will be made with effect from 1 August, 2018:
- Professor Eden YU Siu-hung, currently Vice President (Academic), will become Vice President (Research)
- Ms. Brenda KU Wing-chee, currently Vice President (Administration), will become Vice President (Communication and Student Affairs)
- Professor Peter LEE Kai-kwong, currently Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, will become Vice President (Administration)
- Professor Leslie George THAM, formerly Associate Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, The University of Hong Kong, will be Vice President (Academic)
The College is confident that the new organization will effectively bolster the senior management and contribute to greater effectiveness in rising to new challenges. Let us all wish the new appointees great success in their positions.
