Established in 1947, Hong Kong Chu Hai College has a distinguished history of 78 years of academic excellence and contributions to societal talent development. Qualifications and Requirements
l A doctoral degree in a relevant field.
l A proven record of, or demonstrable potential for, excellence in learning & teaching and research appropriate to the academic rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor).
l A strong commitment to academic leadership, curriculum and program development, and active participation in institutional service.
l The successful candidate with relevant experience may be considered for a concurrent appointment as Department Head or senior academic management position, reflecting leadership capabilities and a commitment to advancing the strategic goals of the institution.
l Fresh PhD graduate is welcome.

The Director of Ng Teng Fong · Sino Group Belt and Road Research Institute is responsible for providing overall effective leadership in management and development of the Institute, the development of appropriate programmes in response to community needs, the smooth operation of programmes, the conduct of good quality teaching and learning activities, the promotion of research and scholarship and the establishment of partnerships with various external stakeholders in the Government, the academic profession and the industry.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate is expected to possess:
1. Doctorate in a relevant field (e.g., International Relations, Economics, Development Studies) with a strong focus on the Belt and Road Initiative or related topics;
2. at least 10 years of experience in research management or academic leadership, particularly in fields related to international development, economics, or regional studies;
3. exceptional leadership and organizational skills;
4. strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
5. excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and
6. proven ability to secure funding and manage research projects.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director, Ng Teng Fong · Sino Group Belt and Road Research Institute shall:
1. develop and implement the strategic vision for the NSBRRI, aligning it with the college’s mission and research goals;
2. oversee the planning, execution, and management of research projects related to the NSBRRI, encouraging innovative and interdisciplinary approaches;
3. supervise all programmes of the Institute: teaching, research and others, and teaching, research and administrative staff of the Institute;
4. build and maintain strong relationships with national and international institutions, government agencies, and industry stakeholders to promote collaborative research initiatives.; 5. represent the Institute in its external and internal relations and promote the Institute to Belt and Road countries;
6. identify funding opportunities, prepare grant proposals, and manage budgets to ensure the sustainability of research projects; and
7. establish metrics and methodologies for assessing the impact and effectiveness of research initiatives, providing regular reports to college leadership.

The Dean of Faculty of Science and Engineering is responsible for providing overall effective leadership in management and development of the Faculty, the development of appropriate programmes in response to community needs, the smooth operation of programmes, the conduct of good quality teaching and learning activities, the promotion of research and scholarship and the establishment of partnerships with various external stakeholders in the Government, the academic profession and the industry.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate is expected to possess:
1. a Doctoral degree or equivalent;
2. proficiency in Chinese and English;
3. a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching, research and service commensurate with that of a tenured associate professor, in disciplines of Science and/or Engineering;
4. experience in serving in prestigious higher education institution(s) preferably at the rank of Faculty/ School Dean or above level; and
5. abundant experience in providing effective leadership to Faculties or academic units with regard to the disciplines of Science and/or Engineering, including overseeing the development of academic strategy and its implementation; academic budget planning and allocation; personnel management; grants submission processes and management; and student enrollment
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering shall:
1. be responsible for the administration of the Faculty of Science and Engineering and shall exercise the responsibilities of Faculty Dean as required.
2. provide visionary leadership and direction for the Faculty of Science and Engineering, including formulating annual development plans and budget for the Faculty in accordance with the College practices.
3. lead the curriculum development as well as initiation and development of new undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in line with the College's Vision and Missions and Strategic Plan.
4. encourage high standards of teaching, foster and encourage research within the Faculty of Science and Engineering.
5. establish and maintain connections with other academic institutions, professional bodies and industry, both local and international.
6. oversee staff management and accountability in the Faculty of Science and Engineering.
