Assistant Professor/Senior Lecturer/ Lecturer

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • Undertake duties in course/ programme/ curriculum review and development
  • Supervise students to do projects
  • Provide leadership in research and programme/ curriculum development
  • Conduct research that leads to publications in reputable, rigorously reviewed journals
  • Organize and engage in scholarly activities
  • Perform academic and administrative duties
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Heads of Department
Skills and Qualifications
  • PhD in Chinese history or a related field;
  • Specialty in history of Chinese science and technology, material culture and intellectual history;
  • Capacity in research in teaching across Chinese history and Chinese literature;
  • Capacity to teach in English;
  • Capacity to teach in the following fields: Chinese history, Chinese literature, and Chinese philosophy
  • Preference will be given to those with experience in editing for the fields of Chinese history and literature.

Ng Teng Fong․ Sino Group Belt One Road Research Institute

Key Responsibilities (1) Undertake teaching for courses in the two Master Programmes in International Relations and International Business Management for Belt and Road Countries
(2) Assist in programme/curriculum design, academic quality and programme development
(3) Conduct and engage in research and consultancy
(4) Undertake academic and administrative duties
(5) Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Institute or his delegate
Skills and Qualifications: (1) Applicants should have a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline and excellent communication skill
(2) Applicants should have solid experiences in teaching and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research on Belt and Road Countries
(3) Applicants should have good networks in both academia and the profession at regional and international levels (especially in Belt and Road Countries)

Department of Finance, Faculty of Business

Key Responsibilities

(1) undertake teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels;

(2) undertake duties in course / programme / curriculum review and development;

(3) review and prepare teaching and learning materials and to mark students’ assignments, reports and examination scripts for course assessment;

(4) perform academic and administrative duties and attend meetings in relation to student and academic administration; and

(5) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Skills and Qualifications:

(1) a PhD degree in finance-related fields;

(2) CFA/FRM qualifications are preferred;

(3) tertiary teaching and relevant research experience;

(4) keen and affable teacher, a good publications record indicating research capability;

(5) a good leadership, interpersonal and team-building skills;

(6) strong communication skills in both English and Putonghua; and

(7) expertise and qualifications relevant to Fintech / big data / Deep Learning applications are preferred.
