On 28 April 2025, Hong Kong Chu Hai College (HKCHC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Xiamen University of Technology, marking an exciting new chapter in collaborative development, academic exchange, and resource sharing. This partnership will provide fresh momentum for the innovative advancement of higher education in both Fujian and Hong Kong.
The signing ceremony was hosted by Mr. Chen Liangyong, Administrative Vice President of HKCHC. Attendees included Mr. Guo Xuebin, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Xiamen Municipal Committee and Minister of Organization Department, Mr. Kong Shuguang, Director-general of the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology and Level I Bureau Rank Official, Mr. Xu Xiaoxi, Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of Xiamen ITG Holding Group Co., Ltd. , along with representatives from Xiamen officials and the College. During the ceremony, Ms. Jane Zhang, Interim President of HKCHC, signed the MoU with Mr. Zhang Xiaoyong, Chief of the Talent Work Division of the Organization Department of CPC Xiamen Municipal Committee, the representative from Xiamen University of Technology. Both parties will enhance collaboration in key areas such as teaching and research, student and faculty exchanges, and academic information sharing. By integrating cross-regional educational resources, the two institutions aspire to cultivate professional talents with a global perspective.
Xiamen University of Technology, as the first pilot university in Fujian Province to participate in the Ministry of Education's latest round of Undergraduate Education and Teaching Review and Evaluation, focuses its programme offerings on strategic industries such as the digital economy, smart manufacturing, and green energy. Both institutions will leverage this partnership to establish a comprehensive and multi-level cooperation framework. They express confidence and optimism about the future of this collaboration.
