On 30 September 2025, Hong Kong Chu Hai College held a solemn flag-raising ceremony to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
The ceremony was conducted by students from the College’s Flag-Raising Team and members of The Hong Kong Road Safety Patrol, featuring Chinese-style marching and accompanied by the National Anthem of the People’s Republic of China. The event was attended by College staff and students.
To show appreciation for the support from the Hong Kong Road Safety Patrol, Ms. Jane Zhang, Interim President of Hong Kong Chu Hai College, presented a souvenir to Dr. Andrew Poon, Assistant Commissioner of The Hong Kong Road Safety Patrol.
Hong Kong Chu Hai College will continue to hold the flag-raising ceremony near 1 January (New Year’s Day), 1 July (HKSAR Establishment Day), and 1 October (National Day) every year, aiming to strengthen the sense of national identity and patriotic feelings among staff and students. This initiative will also promote students’ all-rounded development and social responsibility.
