On October 1st, 2023, the Hong Kong Chu Hai College held a grand flag-raising ceremony on campus to celebrate the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and to wish for the prosperity, development, and happiness of the Chinese people.
Due to a thunderstorm warning being hoisted by the Hong Kong Observatory on the morning of the ceremony, the ceremony was scheduled to be held indoors. This year's flag-raising ceremony was more extensive than in previous years and included 20 undergraduate and master students. These team members raised the People's Republic of China national flag, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region flag, and the Hong Kong Chu Hai College school flag with solemnity, precision, and grace, demonstrating their love and respect for their country.
During the ceremony, all participants wore neat uniforms and held various flags as they walked sternly and solemnly onto the flag-raising platform. When the national anthem was played, everyone stood straight and observed as the flags were raised. The entire ceremony was dignified and reverent in appearance and atmosphere. Guests in attendance also shared the joy and pride of the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
