Mixed Mode of Teaching for Undergraduate Courses from 7 February 2022 (24.1.2022)

Dear Students,

As stated in the email message from the Registrar’s Office to all undergraduate students, all courses would be conducted online via Zoom from 17 January 2022 (Monday) to 28 January 2022 (Friday).

While we hope very much to resume full face-to-face teaching after the Chinese New Year holidays, the health and safety of our teachers and students has always remained our top priority. In view of the rapid spread of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 over the last couple of days, the College has decided that all Undergraduate courses would be delivered in mixed mode, i.e., both face-to-face and online via Zoom, from 7 February 2022 (Monday) until further notice. During this period of time, nevertheless, teachers shall have the discretion to make appropriate teaching arrangements with their students as they deem necessary and appropriate to minimize the adverse effects on teaching and learning objectives. Please keep in touch with your teachers and Academic Advisors and check your Moodle accounts and emails regularly for further updates from your teachers and the College. We will continue to monitor the pandemic situation closely and should we decide to resume full face-to-face teaching, be rest assured that we would allow at least 14 days for non-local students to come back to Hong Kong before the commencement of face-to-face teaching.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Registrar’s Office at tel: 2972 7200 or via email at ro@chuhai.edu.hk. For technical issues about the use of Zoom, please contact ITSO via email at helpdesk@chuhai.edu.hk.

Thank you for your kind cooperation. Please stay safe and healthy!

With best regards,

PROFESSOR C. K. TANG
Vice President (Academic)
