Faculty Office

Executive Officer (Ref: EO/CHC/2036)

Responsibilities: (1) Provide administrative support to matters pertaining to academic programmes, such as student admissions, course registration, timetabling, assessment and graduation;
(2) Provide support in student activities such as study tour, company visit, workshops and seminars;
(3) Provide support in research related activities such as research seminars, conference and publications;
(4) Provide secretarial support to committees;
(5) Maintain proper record systems;
(6) Perform general office administrative duties;
(7) Assist in preparation of documents such as accreditation documents and programme reports; and
(8) Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements: (1) A bachelor degree or above;
(2) At least 3 years’ relevant working experience preferably in tertiary institutions;
(3) Work independently and proactively, with a strong sense of responsibility;
(4) Strong interpersonal, administrative and problem-solving skills;
(5) Possess the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently to meet strict deadlines;
(6) Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, fluency in Mandarin would be an advantage; and
(7) Proficient computer knowledge in MS Office, Adobe DC and Chinese Word Processing.

Registrar’s Office

Assistant Registrar (Ref: RO/AR/CHC)

Responsibilities: (1) Assist the Registrar in providing central administrative services;
(2) Ensure the provision of effective administrative support for the College, including academic activities, registration and record keeping services;
(3) Ensure the effective delivery of services for students and academic offices and other professional services in all aspects of the operations of the College;
(4) Work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, supervise junior administrative and clerical staff; and
(5) Perform any other duties as assigned by the Registrar.
Requirements: (1) A Bachelor degree or above with at least 5 years’ relevant hands-on experience at supervisory level, preferably in the field of tertiary education;
(2) Self-motivated qualities with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently;
(3) Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
(4) Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, project management and supervisory skills; and
(5) Good computer literacy.

Department of Civil Engineering

Laboratory Technical Officer (Ref: CIV/LTO/CHC)

Responsibilities: (1) Provide technical support to teaching, research and all departmental activities with the proper use of equipment, materials and facilities (e.g. equipment in civil engineering laboratory);
(2) Oversee the operation, repair and maintenance of all facilities in the laboratories;
(3) Handle purchasing, sourcing and tendering of supplies, materials, equipment and tools required for the laboratories; and
(4) Assist in ad hoc projects and perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements: (1) A higher diploma or above in Engineering or related disciplines;
(2) Practical/relevant experience in the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment;
(3) College or University working experience is preferred;
(4) Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (fluent in Putonghua is preferred); and
(5) Be highly-motivated, enthusiastic, responsible and able to work independently as well as working in a diverse team environment.
