Faculty of Science and Engineering

Assistant Professor – Building Services Engineering (Ref:FSE/AP/CHC)

Responsibilities: (1) Undertake teaching at undergraduate levels;
(2) Teach subjects in Building Services Engineering in Architecture and Civil Engineering Departments;
(3) Assist in design, preparation and revision of syllabuses, teaching materials and assessments for courses;
(4) Provide leadership in research and programme/curriculum development;
(5) Organize and engage in scholarly activities;
(6) Perform academic and administrative duties; and
(7) Perform any other duties as assigned by the Heads of Departments.
Requirements: (1) a PhD degree in Building Services Engineering or relevant discipline
(2) Good knowledge of local higher educational environment;
(3) Keen and affable teacher, and a good publications record indicating research capability;
(4) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and
(5) Good networks in both academic and the profession at regional and international levels.

Department of Finance

Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Full-time/Part-time) (Ref: FNE/Lecturer/CHC/2035)

Responsibilities: (1) undertake teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
(2) undertake duties in course / programme / curriculum review and development;
(3) review and prepare teaching and learning materials and to mark students’ assignments, reports and examination scripts for course assessment;
(4) perform academic and administrative duties and attend meetings in relation to student and academic administration; and
(5) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements: (1) a Master degree or above in finance-related fields;
(2) CFA/FRM qualifications are preferred;
(3) tertiary teaching and relevant research experience;
(4) keen and affable teacher, a good publications record indicating research capability;
(5) a good leadership, interpersonal and team-building skills; and
(6) strong communication skills in both English and Putonghua.

Assistant Professor/Associate Professor (Ref: CS/AP/CHC/2034)

Responsibilities: (1) undertake teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
(2) undertake duties in course / programme / curriculum review and development;
(3) conduct research that leads to publications in top-tier refereed journals;
(4) engage in high-level consultancy and other scholarly activities;
(5) perform academic and administrative duties; and
(6) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements: (1) a PhD degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or relevant discipline (preferred area: Networking/Internet Systems/ Multimedia Systems/ Artificial Intelligence);
(2) teritiary teaching and relevant research experience;
(3) keen and affable teacher with a good publications record indicating research capability;
(4) a good leadership, interpersonal, communication and team-building skills; and
(5) good networks in both academic and the profession at regional and international levels.
