Latest Implementation Arrangements for the "Vaccine Pass" on Campus (30.3.2022)

Dear Students,

Hope that you are keeping well. To align with the Government’s latest adjustments to the vaccination requirements of the Vaccine Pass, the College will further enhance campus access control starting from 7 June 2022 onwards. Please refer to the table below for implementation details.

* (i) “Recovery” is defined as 14 days after the date of the first documented positive test. (ii) Recovered persons must present the official proof of recovery or infection at the time of entry. Official proof of recovery or infection includes documents such as discharge letter, SMS/electronic/paper record of positive nucleic acid test result issued by the Government or private laboratories recognised under the Laboratory Recognition Scheme of the Department of Health (DH), SMS/electronic record of completed declaration on DH's "Declaration System for individuals tested positive for COVID-19 using Rapid Antigen Test", isolation order issued by the DH, and other recovery records issued by the Government or the Hospital Authority. Photographs showing positive rapid antigen test results alone CANNOT serve as a valid recovery or infection record.

If you are exempted from vaccination, you must present a medical exemption certificate issued by a medical doctor plus a negative result of a COVID-19 test taken within three days prior to the entry.

You are strongly advised to make arrangements to get the third dose of vaccine if you have not yet done so (except for those who have recovered from the infection) to protect yourself and ensure that your Vaccine Pass is valid.

We seek your understanding that all the infection control measures are implemented to safeguard the health of our staff and students. Please stay safe and positive.

With warm regards,
PROFESSOR C. K. TANG
Vice President (Academic)

Stepping Up of COVID-19 Control Measures (21.2.2022)

Dear Students,

To align with the government’s announcement on 8 February 2022 on the implementation of “Vaccine Pass” arrangement, the College will further step up our COVID-19 control measures. Please take note of the following:

1. From 24 February 2022 to 20 March 2022, all persons aged 12 or above must have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccination or undergone a COVID-19 test taken within one week prior to the entry with negative result in order to be allowed entry to the College campus.

2. From 21 March 2022 to 18 April 2022, all persons aged 12 or above must have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccination in order to be allowed entry to the College campus.

3. From 19 April 2022 onwards, all persons aged 18 or above must have received at least two doses of COVID-19 vaccination in order to be allowed entry to the College campus.

4. From 21 March 2022 onwards, the only exemption from the arrangement will be for
a. persons under the age specified in the relevant requirements above;
b. persons holding a medical exemption certificate issued by a medical doctor.

5. Persons who are exempted from vaccination must submit a negative result of a COVID-19 test taken within one week prior to the entry. The College accepts results from government recognised PCR-based nucleic acid test for COVID-19 as well as commercially available COVID-19 rapid test kits.

6. Anyone entering the campus are required to use LeaveHomeSafe. The vaccination records will be checked and confirmed by the personnel of the Facilities Management Office (FMO) using the FEHDs' eVT Code App.

7. All eligible students are encouraged to take a third/booster dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

To facilitate smooth entry to the campus, the College will set up a “Green Channel” for regular users of the campus. If you would like to enter the campus via the “Green Channel”, please submit your application to the FMO by completing the attached form and handing it to the FMO personnel for checking and retention when entering the campus building. Upon successful application, you will be able to enter the campus by tapping your student card on the “Green Channel” reader without going through the manual checking process.

Please be reminded that for courses with practical components, students may be required to attend face-to-face classes and/or assessment sessions to complete the courses and that failure to enter the campus may affect completion of the courses. We understand that getting a COVID-19 vaccine is a personal choice and that students may have other reasons for not getting vaccinated. However, to protect the users of the campus under the current critical circumstances, we will have to deny the entry of those who do not comply with our COVID-19 control measures.

Thank you for your understanding. Please take good care of yourselves and stay safe.

With warm regards,

PROFESSOR C. K. TANG
Vice President (Academic)
