Registrar’s Office

Assistant Registrar (Ref: RO/AR/CHC)

Responsibilities: (1) Assist the Registrar in providing central administrative services;
(2) Ensure the provision of effective administrative support for the College, including academic activities, registration and record keeping services;
(3) Ensure the effective delivery of services for students and academic offices and other professional services in all aspects of the operations of the College;
(4) Work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, supervise junior administrative and clerical staff; and
(5) Perform any other duties as assigned by the Registrar.
Requirements: (1) A Bachelor degree or above with at least 5 years’ relevant hands-on experience at supervisory level, preferably in the field of tertiary education;
(2) Self-motivated qualities with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently;
(3) Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
(4) Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, project management and supervisory skills; and
(5) Good computer literacy.

Faculties and Academic Departments

Executive Officer I/II (Ref: EO/CHC12)

Responsibilities: (1) Provide administrative support to the Faulty/Department for student-related and academic programme-related matters including student admission, course coordination and conduction, exam arrangement;
(2) Provide support in academic activities such as academic exchanges and workshops;
(3) Maintain record systems and databases effectively;
(4) Maintain proper records, such as proposals, reports, minutes, notes and papers or policies and procedures;
(5) Organize meetings, prepare meeting documents and compile reports;
(6) Assist in general office administration; and
(7) Perform any other duties as assigned;
Requirements: (1) A bachelor degree or above;
(2) At least 3 years’ relevant working experience preferably in tertiary institutions;
(3) Work independently and proactively, with a strong sense of responsibility;
(4) Strong interpersonal, administrative and problem-solving skills;
(5) Possess the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently to meet strict deadlines;
(6) Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, fluency in Mandarin would be an advantage; and
(7) Proficient computer knowledge in MS Office, Adobe DC and Chinese Word Processing.

Kong Mou Sum Library

Library Assistant I (Ref: LIB/LAI/CHC)

Responsibilities: (1) Provide assistance to organize e-learning activities and library workshops;
(2) Assist in cataloguing and processing of library materials;
(3) Answer general enquiries and perform general office administrative tasks;
(4) Assist users in the use of library services, resources and facilities;
(5) Supervise student helpers for various library operations and stack maintenance;
(6) Perform counter and shift duties on regular basis, including evenings and weekends; and
(7) Carry out other duties as assigned by the Librarian or his/her delegates
Requirements: (1) a Bachelor’s degree or a recognize certificate or diploma;
(2) Knowledge of any Integrated Library System, MARC21, AACRII, RDA, DDC and LC preferable;
(3) Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Chinese word processing;
(4) Good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills; and
(5) Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua and Cantonese).

Centre of Buddhist Studies

Executive Assistant (Ref: CBS/EA/CHC)

  [Initial appointment period: 1 year, subject to renewal]
Responsibilities: (1) Support administration and operation of the Master Programme (MMABS), including student admission, course coordination and conduction, exam arrangement and other student related matters;
(2) Provide administrative support in activities, including public lectures, academic exchanges and workshops
(3) Maintain record systems and databases effectively;
(4) Assist in general office administration; and
(5) Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Center or his/her delegates.
Requirements: (1) A bachelor degree or above;
(2) At least 3 years’ relevant working experience preferably in tertiary institutions
(3) Work independently and proactively, with a strong sense of responsibility;

Department of Journalism and Communication

Studio Assistant (Ref: JCM/SA/CHC)

Responsibilities: (1) Provide day-to-day technical support to the Department of Journalism and Communication;
(2) Carry out daily facility setup and maintenance of equipment for the Department;
(3) Assist staff and students in the proper use of the facilities and equipment, and ensure the safety and proper operation of equipment;
(4) Handle information flow and maintain an effective record system; and
(5) Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or his delegates.
Requirements: (1) At least Form 5 graduated;
(2) Must be IT sophisticated with proficiency in MS Office, Chinese and English word processing, multimedia, and software for studio maintenance is required;
(3) A good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and
(4) Good communication skills and positive working attitude, and be a good team player.
  The appointee may be required to work outside normal office hours and on Saturdays and Sundays.
