Registrar’s Office

Assistant Registrar (Ref: RO/AR/CHC)

Responsibilities: (1) Assist the Registrar in providing central administrative services;
(2) Ensure the provision of effective administrative support for the College, including academic activities, registration and record keeping services;
(3) Ensure the effective delivery of services for students and academic offices and other professional services in all aspects of the operations of the College;
(4) Work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, supervise junior administrative and clerical staff; and
(5) Perform any other duties as assigned by the Registrar.
Requirements: (1) A Bachelor degree or above with at least 5 years’ relevant hands-on experience at supervisory level, preferably in the field of tertiary education;
(2) Self-motivated qualities with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently;
(3) Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
(4) Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, project management and supervisory skills; and
(5) Good computer literacy.

Information Technology Services Office

IT Technician (Ref: ITSO/ITT/CHC)

Duties: (1) Handle the Help Desk support and answer users’ requests;
(2) Involve in IT operation / IT procurement / IP Phone or Computer setup; and
(3) Be backup of other IT team member’s tasks as assigned
Requirements: (1) Degree/AD/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT and/or related disciplines;
(2) At least 2 years’ experience in handling end user support jobs; (Fresh Graduates will also be considered.);
(3) Experience in Windows, Linux, Mac OS, Android and IOS environment;
(4) Good communication skill in English and Chinese; and
(5) Self-motivated and work under limited supervision.
Requirements as Advantages: (1) Certificate in MCSE / CCNA
(2) Web programming or PHP
(3) Experience in Microsoft Exchange or Active Directory
(4) Communication in Mandarin

Senior Manager (Ref: ITSO/SM/CHC)

Duties: (1) Supervise the ITS Office including network infrastructure and support, system administration and web development, and academic software development;
(2) Establish the long-term direction, strategy and information goals of the College;
(3) Direct and supervise the team to support various projects’ execution;
(4) Coordinate effectively with both internal and external parties; and
(5) Provide any other duties as assigned by the Vice President (Administration)
Requirements: (1) Degree holder in Information Technology or related disciplines;
(2) At least 10 years’ of (1) managerial experience in leading an IT team, preferably in educational institutions; (2) relevant work experience, preferably in the implementation of network infrastructure and support, system administration and web development, and academic software development;
(3) Self-motivated and adaptive to change;
(4) Able to lead, manage, develop and motivate staff; and
(5) Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Kong Mou Sum Library

Library Assistant I (Ref: LIB/LAI/CHC)

Responsibilities: (1) Assist patrons on loan of the library collections, stack maintenance, use of the library resources and facilities;
(2) Answer enquiries and perform general office administrative tasks;
(3) Provide support to new books processing, book display and other promotional activities;
(4) Supervise student helpers for various library operations and digitization project;
(5) Perform counter and shift duties on regular basis, including evenings and weekends; and
(6) Carry out other duties as assigned by the Librarian or his/her delegates.
Requirements: (1) a Bachelor’s degree or a recognize certificate or diploma; and
(2) Knowledge of any Integrated Library System, MARC21, AACRII, RDA, DDC and LC preferable;
(3) Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Chinese word processing;
(4) Good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills; and
(5) Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua and Cantonese).

Quality Office

Executive Officer (Ref: QO/EO/CHC)

Responsibilities: (1) Perform secretarial duties to the Quality Office;
(2) Provide assistance on administration of Quality office and preparation of QA document;
(3) Coordinate various supportive tasks related to the quality assurance of the College;
(4) Maintain proper records, such as proposals, reports, minutes, notes and papers or policies and procedures; and
(5) Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements: (1) A recognized degree with at least four years of solid administrative work experience, preferably in a tertiary institution;
(2) Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, and knowledge of Putonghua;
(3) Proficiency in computer applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing;
(4) Strong interpersonal, administrative and problem-solving skills;
(5) Possess the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently to meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision; and
(6) Attentive to details, highly self-motivated, responsible and be a team player.

Candidate with less relevant experience will be considered for the post of Executive Assistant.

Department of Journalism and Communication

Studio Assistant (Ref: JCM/SA/CHC)

Responsibilities: (1) Provide day-to-day technical support to the Department of Journalism and Communication;
(2) Carry out daily facility setup and maintenance of equipment for the Department;
(3) Assist staff and students in the proper use of the facilities and equipment, and ensure the safety and proper operation of equipment;
(4) Handle information flow and maintain an effective record system; and
(5) Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or his delegates.
Requirements: (1) At least Form 5 graduated;
(2) Must be IT sophisticated with proficiency in MS Office, Chinese and English word processing, multimedia, and software for studio maintenance is required;
(3) A good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and
(4) Good communication skills and positive working attitude, and be a good team player.

The appointee may be required to work outside normal office hours and on Saturdays and Sundays.

Department of Architecture

Laboratory Technical Officer (Ref: ARE/LTO/CHC)

Responsibilities: (1) Provide technical support to teaching, research and all departmental activities with the proper use of equipment, materials and facilities (e.g. CNC machine, laser cutting, 3D printing machines, plotters and etc.);
(2) Oversee the operation, repair and maintenance of all facilities in the workshop, studio and exhibition area;
(3) Handle purchasing, sourcing and tendering of supplies, materials, equipment and tools required for the workshops; and
(4) Assist in ad hoc projects and perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements: (1) A higher diploma or above in Engineering or related disciplines;
(2) At least 2 years’ practical/relevant experience in the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of workshop machinery
(3) College or University working experience is preferred;
(4) Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (fluent in Putonghua is preferred); and
(5) Be highly-motivated, enthusiastic, responsible and able to work independently as well as working in a diverse team environment.
