Faculty of Business

Professors/Associate Professors/Assistant Professors (2 vacancies) (Ref: FB/ACA/CHC)

Responsibilities: (1) Undertake teaching at undergraduate/postgraduate levels;
(2) Teach management courses including in particular Human Resources Management, Strategic Management, Production and Operations Management and Organizational Behaviour;
(3) Assist in design, preparation and revision of syllabuses, teaching materials and assessments for courses;
(4) Provide leadership in research and programme/curriculum development;
(5) Conduct research that leads to publications in rigorously refereed reputable journals;
(6) Organize and engage in scholarly activities;
(7) Perform academic and administrative duties; and
(8) Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements: (1) A doctorate in Business Administration or related disciplines;
(2) A record of reasonably good publications preferred;
(3) With good training and promise of ability to publish scholarly articles; and
(4) Strong communication and language skills.

Faculty of Science and Engineering

Assistant Professor – Building Services Engineering (Ref:FSE/AP/CHC)

Responsibilities: (1) Undertake teaching at undergraduate levels;
(2) Teach subjects in Building Services Engineering in Architecture and Civil Engineering Departments;
(3) Assist in design, preparation and revision of syllabuses, teaching materials and assessments for courses;
(4) Provide leadership in research and programme/curriculum development;
(5) Provide leadership in research and programme/curriculum development;
(6) Organize and engage in scholarly activities;
(7) Perform academic and administrative duties; and
(8) Perform any other duties as assigned by the Heads of Departments.
Requirements: (1) a PhD degree in Building Services Engineering or relevant discipline
(2) Good knowledge of local higher educational environment;
(3) Keen and affable teacher, and a good publications record indicating research capability;
(4) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and
(5) Good networks in both academic and the profession at regional and international levels.

The appointee is expected to: (1) Undertake teaching English language and literature at undergraduate levels

Department of Computer Science

Lecturer (Part-time) (Ref: CS/Lecturer/CHC)

Responsibilities: (1) undertake teaching, supervise students' projects, laboratories and field works at undergraduate levels;
(2) undertake duties in course / programme / curriculum review and development;
(3) review and prepare teaching and learning materials and to mark students’ assignments, reports and examination scripts for course assessment;
(4) perform academic and administrative duties and attend meetings in relation to student and academic administration; and
(5) participate in departmental projects and functions, where necessary
Requirements: (1) a PhD degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or relevant discipline (preferred area: Networking and Security/System Administration/ Internet Systems/ Software Development & Database/ Artificial Intelligence);
(2) university teaching and relevant research experience;
(3) a good leadership, interpersonal, communication and team-building skills; and
(4) good networks in both academic and the profession at regional and international levels.

Department of Architecture

Assistant / Associate Professors (3 vacancies) (Ref: ARE/AP/CHC)

Responsibilities: (1) Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Architecture, design course content and carry out assessment
(2) Undertake research, organize scholarly activities;
(3) Perform administrative work; and
(4) Perform any other duties as assigned by the College and the Head of Department.
Requirements: (1) a PhD degree in Architecture; or
(2) a Professional Master’s degree in architecture with focus in the area(s) of:
- Architectural and Urban Design
- Architectural History and Theory
- Building Technology and Sustainability
- Computational Design
- Professional and Building Practice
(3) Have membership or potential membership of a relevant professional body, with relevant experience in the architecture industry and/or institutions of higher education, and a good record of research and published work; and
(4) Have strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant teaching and/or professional experience.
