Department of Civil Engineering

Assistant Professor / Associate Professor (Ref: CIV/APROF/2022)

Key Responsibilities (1) Undertake teaching at undergraduate level;
(2) Teach subjects in Building Services Engineering in Architecture and Civil Engineering Departments;
(3) Assist in design, preparation and revision of syllabuses, teaching materials and assessments for courses;
(4) Provide leadership in research and programme/ curriculum development;
(5) Conduct research that leads to publications in rigorously refereed reputable journals;
(6) Organize and engage in scholarly activities;
(7) Perform academic and administrative duties; and
(8) Perform any other duties as assigned by the Heads of Departments.
Skill & Qualifications: (1) A PhD degree in Building Services Engineering or relevant discipline;
(2) Good knowledge of local higher educational environment;
(3) Good publications record indicating research capability;
(4) Good interpersonal and communication skills; and
(5) Good networks in both academic and the profession at regional and international levels.

Department of Computer Science

Assistant Professor

Key Responsibilities (1) Undertake teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
(2) Undertake duties in course/ programme/ curriculum review and development;
(3) Conduct research that leads to publications in top-tier refereed journals;
(4) Engage in high-level consultancy, and other scholarly activities;
(5) Perform academic and administrative duties; and
(6) Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or his delegate.
Skill & Qualifications: (1) A PhD degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or relevant discipline (preferred area: Networking/ Internet Systems/ Multimedia Systems/ Artificial Intelligence);
(2) University teaching and relevant research experience;
(3) Keen and affable teacher, and a good publications record indication research capability;
(4) A good leadership, interpersonal, communication and team-building skills; and
(5) Good networks in both academic and the profession at regional and international levels.
