Skill & Qualifications: | (1) A PhD degree in Chinese Literature /Chinese History or related disciplines; (2) University teaching and relevant research experience; (3) Keen and affable teacher, and a good publications record indication research capability; (4) A good leadership, interpersonal, communication and team-building skills; and (5) Good networks in both academic and the profession at regional and international levels. |

Department of Civil Engineering
Assistant Professor
Responsibilities | (1) Undertake teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; (2) Teach subjects in Civil Engineering and Structural Engineering; (3) Assist in design, preparation and revision of syllabuses and teaching materials; (4) Provide leadership in research and programme/ curriculum development; (5) Conduct research that leads to publications in rigorously refereed reputable journals; (6) Organize and engage in scholarly activities; (7) Perform academic and administrative duties; and (8) Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department. |
Requirements: | (1) a PhD degree in Civil Engineering related discipline, preferably in Structural Engineering; (2) High-level knowledge, skill and expertise in any area of Civil Engineering, such as Geotechnical Engineering, Highways Engineering, or Building Services Engineering; (3) Good knowledge of local higher educational environment; (4) Goof presentation and teaching skills; (5) Good publications record indicating research capability; (6) Good interpersonal and communication skills. |

One Belt One Road Research Institute

Department of Journalism and Communication
Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor
Description | (1) Teach courses for both BA and MA courses offered by the Department. (2) Design, prepare and revise course syllabuses, teaching materials and assessments for courses that have to be updated regularly. (3) Assist in management and validation of undergraduate and MA programmes (4) Undertake research, scholarly and administration activities. (5) Conduct research and prepare proposals to secure government funding for research work, such as the RGC fund. (6) Prepare papers for international academic conferences with an aim at publishing papers in academic journals. (7) Assist in the curriculum development and exploring new MA programmes. (8) Assist the Department in preparing validation reports and proposals for PAA by HKCAAVQ. (9) Give advice to students as their academic advisers. |
Requirement: | (1) A Ph.D. or a Master’s degree in relevant academic discipline; (2) A distinguished professional credentials in journalism and communication disciplines. (3) Solid teaching experience at tertiary institutions. (4) Possess a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Fluency in Putonghua will be an advantage. (5) Strong communication and language skills. |
