Faculty of Science and Engineering

Assistant Professor – Building Services Engineering (Ref:FSE/AP/CHC)

Responsibilities: (1) Undertake teaching at undergraduate levels;
(2) Teach subjects in Building Services Engineering in Architecture and Civil Engineering Departments;
(3) Assist in design, preparation and revision of syllabuses, teaching materials and assessments for courses;
(4) Provide leadership in research and programme/curriculum development;
(5) Organize and engage in scholarly activities;
(6) Perform academic and administrative duties; and
(7) Perform any other duties as assigned by the Heads of Departments.
Requirements: (1) a PhD degree in Building Services Engineering or relevant discipline
(2) Good knowledge of local higher educational environment;
(3) Keen and affable teacher, and a good publications record indicating research capability;
(4) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and
(5) Good networks in both academic and the profession at regional and international levels.

(2) Assist in design, preparation and revision of syllabuses, teaching materials and assessments for courses;
(3) Provide leadership in research and programme/curriculum development;
(4) Conduct research that leads to publications in rigorously refereed reputable journals;
(5) Organize and engage in scholarly activities;
(6) Perform academic and administrative duties; and
(7) Perform any other duties as assigned
Requirements: (1) a PhD degree in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline
(2) Good knowledge of local higher educational environment;

Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Assistant Professor – Department of Finance (Ref: FIN/ACA/CHC)

Responsibilities: (1) Undertake teaching at undergraduate/postgraduate levels;
(2) Assist in design, preparation and revision of syllabuses, teaching materials and assessments for courses;
(3) Provide leadership in research and programme/curriculum development;
(4) Conduct research that leads to publications in rigorously refereed reputable journals;
(5) Organize and engage in scholarly activities;
(6) Perform academic and administrative duties; and
(7) Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements: (1) A master degree/doctorate in Finance or related disciplines;
(2) A qualified CFA;
(3) Capable of teaching Derivatives, Financial Regulations, Global Financial Systems, and Merger Acquisitions;
(4) Fluency in Mandarin is strongly preferred
(5) A record of reasonably good publications preferred; and
(6) Strong communication and language skills.
