Department of Finance

Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor - Department of Finance (Ref: FNE/AP/2112/CHC)

Responsibilities: (1) undertake teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
(2) undertake duties in course / programme / curriculum review and development;
(3) review and prepare teaching and learning materials and to mark students’ assignments, reports and examination scripts for course assessment;
(4) perform academic and administrative duties and attend meetings in relation to student and academic administration; and
(5) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements: (1) a PhD degree in finance-related fields;
(2) CFA/FRM qualifications are preferred;
(3) tertiary teaching and relevant research experience;
(4) keen and affable teacher, a good publications record indicating research capability;
(5) a good leadership, interpersonal and team-building skills;
(6) strong communication skills in both English and Putonghua; and
(7) expertise and qualifications relevant to Fintech / big data applications are preferred.

Department of Accounting and Banking

Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor (Ref: ABA/AP/CHC/2044)

Responsibilities: (1) Undertake teaching at undergraduate/postgraduate levels;
(2) Teach subjects in Accounting courses, including but not limited to Financial Accounting, Taxation, Auditing, and Accounting Information Systems;
(3) Assist in design, preparation and revision of syllabuses, teaching materials and assessments for courses;
(4) Provide assistance in programme/curriculum development;
(5) Liaise with professional bodies;
(6) Conduct research that leads to publications in rigorously refereed reputable journals;
(7) Organize and engage in scholarly activities;
(8) Perform academic and administrative duties; and
(9) Perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean or his/her delegates.
Requirements: (1) A PhD degree in Accounting or related disciplines;
(2) Professional qualification in HKICPA or equivalent;
(3) Excellent presentation and teaching skills, as demonstrated by Higher Education teaching experience or other relevant experience;
(4) Strong communication and language skills in both English and Putonghua; and
(5) Evidence of research abilities is preferred.

Responsibilities: (1) Undertake teaching at undergraduate/postgraduate levels;
(2) Teach postgraduate courses in Entrepreneurship;
(3) Assist in design, preparation and revision of syllabuses, teaching materials and assessments for course;
(4) Provide leadership in research and programme/curriculum development;
(5) Conduct research that leads to publications in rigorously refereed reputable journals;
(6) Organize and engage in scholarly activities;
(7) Perform academic and administrative duties; and
(8) Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements: (1) A PhD degree in Entrepreneurship or related disciplines;
(2) At least 2 years of academic experience related to Entrepreneurship;
(3) Strong communication skills in both English and Putonghua;
(4) Teaching experience in postgraduate programmes preferred; and
(5) Management experience in Education institutes preferred.

Senior Lecturer / Lecturer (Full Time/Part Time) (Ref:CIV/SL/CHC/2134)

Responsibilities: (1) Teach subjects in Building Services Engineering and/or Construction Management at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
(2) Prepare teaching materials, provide guidance and supervision to students, participate in departmental meetings, and provide support to departmental academic and administrative activities;
(3) Conduct research that leads to publications in refereed reputable journals;
(4) Organize and engage in scholarly activities; and
(5) Perform any other duties as assigned by the Heads of Departments or their delegates.
Requirements: (1) A postgraduate degree and/or recognized professional qualification in Building Services Engineering, Construction Management or relevant disciplines;
(2) Good knowledge of local higher educational environment;
(3) Good publications record to show research capability;
(4) Good interpersonal and communication skills; and
(5) Good networks in both academic and the profession at regional and international levels.
