Setting Up Academic Links With Kyoto Seika University
Professor LEE Chack-fan, President of Chu Hai College of Higher Education (CHCHE), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Professor Oussouby SACKO, President of Kyoto Seika University (KSU), on Friday, 15 March 2019. Mr. Shuzo UEDA, Dean of International Affairs of KSU, and other CHCHE management also attended the ceremony.
The MOU focuses on the co-operation of the two institutions in terms of mutual visits and exchange of students, faculty members and research scholars, extending CHCHE's outreach programmes to Japan. Both institutions expressed interest in organizing joint conferences or symposia on subjects of mutual interest.
Professor SACKO was given a tour of the College’s facilities, which included the state-of-the-art journalism studios, VR laboratory, architecture studios, civil engineering laboratories, lecture halls and the gymnasium. After the campus tour, President SACKO delivered a guest lecture to CHCHE students.
Located in the suburb of Kyoto, KSU, with an enrollment of 3,000-3,999 students, is a private, coeducational university founded in 1968. The university is officially accredited and recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan. It offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral programmes via the five Faculties, including Art, Design, Manga, Popular Culture and Humanities, and also its Graduate School.
