Professor Siu Kwok-kin is a Professor
in the Department of Chinese Literature at Chu Hai College
and also the Vice-President of Hong Kong Archaeology Society,
a Research Fellow at the Hong Kong Antiquities and Monuments
Office and a co-opted Committee Member of the Antiquities
Advisory Board. Professor Siu is also a Visiting Lecturer
of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the Hong Kong
Institute for Promotion of Chinese Culture.
As a profound scholar of the Hong
Kong History, genealogical record (zupu), local history (fang-zhi),
and the history of Ming and Ching Dynasties, Professor Siu
has appeared in many interviews by TVB, ATV, RTHK and a number
of major magazines and newspapers.
Professor Siu has many accomplishments such as the publication
of numerous books on various topics of his expertise, which
include “xianggang difang shi yanjiu (History of the Places
in Hong Kong)”, “jiulong chengshi lun ji (The Collective
Essays on the History of Kowloon City)”, “xianggang de lishi
yu wenwu (The History and Monuments of Hong Kong)”, “xianggang
shi qu wen hua zhi lu (Heritage Trails in Urban Hong Kong)”,
etc.
