Visiting the Construction Site of a School Extension Project in Kowloon City

As part of the site visit programme of the Department of Civil Engineering, the third year students and our faculties visited the construction site in Kowloon City on 25th November 2008. This project is a typical school extension project of existing school. The site visit provided an opportunity for students to understand the challenges during construction in existing structures, the noise mitigation measures and limited space of the construction site. Prof. John Chan, who is the Professor of the Department of Civil Engineering of Chu Hai College of Higher Education, led the site visit.
