Seminar on Unified Tight Frame Approach for Missing Data Recovery in Images

Prof. Chan is the Associate Dean of Science (Research) and Chair Professor in the Department of Mathematics of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He had published more than 80 journals papers and served on various editorial boards. His research interests included numerical linear algebra, scientific computing and image processing. In this talk, he discussed the new iterative algorithm for image recovery for missing data which was based on spline tight framelets. Two main applications of the algorithm were addressed, namely impulse noise removal and super-resolution image reconstruction.
