Visiting the Hong Kong Observatory

Year one students visited the Hong Kong Observatory Headquarters on 11 May 2007. The students visited the Hong Kong meteorological centre, exhibition hall and instrument lawn. A video showed about the Hong Kong Observatory's responsibilities of weather forecast and warnings alarm on various weather-related adverse environments, radiation levels monitoring and assessment, and other meteorological and geophysical services to meet the demands of the public and the navigation, aviation, industrial and engineering sectors.
