Students and Staff Visiting Beijing-Architectural Field Trip

April 2009

A study tour to Beijing by the faculty members and students of the Department of Architecture was held from 5th to 9th of April 2009. Interflow programmes with Tsinghua University and some architectural offices such as EDAW & URBANUS in Beijing were arranged. The students gained valuable opportunity to understand the architectural education and practice in this leading city of China in terms of its architectural development.

During the 5 days, the students had also experienced the grand sport venues, monumental palaces, historic Great Wall, hip hotels, artistic galleries, and nostalgic hutongs of Beijing.
