Students and Staff Visiting Shanghai & Suzhou-Architectural Field Trip

March 2008

A study tour to Shanghai and Suzhou by the faculty members and students of the Department of Architecture was held from 20th to 25th of March 2008. They had interflow programmes with universities (Shanghai University and Tongji University) and architectural offices (MADA s.p.a.m., Wong & Ouyang, and HMA). During their visit to the Department of Architecture, Shanghai University, the Inter-cities Architectural Dialogue was held for professors from both schools to present their urban research works for Shanghai and Hong Kong respectively.

During the 6 days, the students have experienced Shanghai's and Suzhou's energetic urban life, poetic cultural landscape, futuristic landmarks and traditional monuments all interweaved in the excursion.
