The Department of Architecture participated in the Exhibition of the "Hong Kong Shenzhen Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism"

Staff of the Department of Architecture, Prof. Paul Chu (Head of Department), Mr. Stan Lai and Mr Alvin Yip were invited by the Curator of the Hong Kong Shenzhen Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism as exhibitors with support from the College.
The Biennale is organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA) in association with the Shenzhen Planning Bureau with the theme of "Re-Fabricating City".The event was held from January to March 2008, with concurrent exhibitions in both Hong Kong and Shenzhen. The Hong Kong Exhibition venue was at the Central Police Station Compound, an urban cluster of listed architectural monuments in Central district.

Mr. Paul Chu led a team of the students of the Department of Architecture for the exhibition with the theme of "Sectional Urbanism". Mr. Stan Lai and his co-exhibitor Ms. Claudia Ng exhibited their research on "Border and Re-bordering". Mr. Alvin Yip, the Head of Research of CARE, cooperates with the architectural firm AD+RG and Community Participation Unit / the Chinese University of Hong Kong for the exhibition "Reflections from Public Participation".
