Architecture Department received awards in the "10TH BIG CHALLENGE CUP" in Tianjin

The final year students of Architecture competed in the "10th National Universities Students' Extra Curricular Academic and Scientific Projects Competition - Big Challenge Cup" held at NanKai University, Tianjin in November 2007. Prof. Paul CHU was appointed as the College Leader for the team. Under the title 'Yak Architecture- a sustainable Architecture for Venture in Western Part of China', the project aimed at deploying the best use of low-technology for the betterment of nomads' lives in the western part of China. The project was awarded 3rd prize for its ambitious and creative use of the raw energy and developed cities wasted electric-bicycles to form new architecture prototypes to help nomads' mobility.
