Dr. LO Wai-lun, B.Eng., Ph.D. (Poly Univ.)

Associate Professor

Wai-lun LO received the BEng Degree and Ph.D Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1991 and 1996 respectively. He has been a Research Assistant in the Department of Electrical Engineering of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1996 and then a Research Associate in the same department in 1997. From 1997 to 1999, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the same department where he was also a visiting lecturer for degree course from 1994 to 1998. He has also worked in the Department of Electronic Engineering of the City University of Hong Kong as a Research Fellow in 1999 before joining the Department of Computer Science of the Chu Hai College at September 1999. He has also been a part-time Research Fellow in the Department of Electrical Engineering of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2002 where he worked for a research project on the Intelligent Control of Complex non-linear systems via Neural Network. He is currently the Head of Department of Computer Science of the Chu Hai College. His research interest included adaptive control, fuzzy and neural control and applications of genetic algorithm. He is a member of IEEE.
