Brief Description
Kwok-Wai Cheung received the BEng, MSc and PhD degrees from City
University of Hong Kong in 1990, 1994 and 2001, all in Electronic
Engineering. He worked in PCCW (formerly Hong Kong Telecom) as trainee
engineer/project engineer from 1990 to 1995. He was a research student/research
assistant at the Department of Electronic Engineering, City University
of Hong Kong, from 1996 to 2002. Currently, he is Assistant Professor
of the Department of Computer Science, Chu Hai College. Dr. Cheung's
research interests are in the areas of image/video coding, vector
quantization, and multimedia database.
