HKICPA Approved Accountancy Programme
The degree programme BCom (Hons) in Accounting and Banking
is accredited by the Hong
Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA)
as an approved accountancy programme under the Institute's
Qualification Programme (QP).
Professional Bodies
A distinct feature of our programme is the integration of the knowledge
of professional accounting and banking, which is unique in Hong
Kong.
Understanding that accounting, banking and finance are disciplines
closely related to one another, therefore, an accounting programme
should be appropriately complemented by a mix of knowledge in other
fields of expertise such as finance, IT or management. We incorporate
accounting and banking knowledge into the programme as we strongly
believe that in this way, our graduates can better serve the business
sector in Hong Kong, a financial centre of Asia.
The programme is also specifically designed for our graduates to
gain recognition from various professional bodies. Full or partial
subject-exemptions have been granted for application to the
membership of:
- Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA)
- fully recognized and accredited
- The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
- The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB)
- The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
- The Association of International Accountants (AIA)
- The Association of Taxation and Management Accountants (ATMA)
- The Association of Cost and Executive Accountants (ACEA)
- The Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA)
- The Society of Registered Financial Planners (RFP).
