Programme Structure
In view of the multiple-entry aspect, the proposed AD Programme is designed to have two modes for students with different entry qualifications. Secondary 5 graduates with minimum admissions requirements are eligible to apply for admissions to the three-year Associate Degree Programme (Mode A) while Secondary 7 graduates with minimum requirements are eligible to apply for admissions to the two-year Associate Degree Programme (Mode B).

The Mode A students of the AD Programme are required to achieve at least 90 credits and the Mode B students are required to achieve at least 69 credits for graduation. Coursework and examination are used as the major criteria for academic assessment. The programme is designed to develop students' potentials and academic capabilities by providing courses in the following areas:

  • Broad-base general education
  • Complementary generic skills
  • Stream specialism in:
    • General education/Arts and humanities
    • Business studies
    • Media studies
    • Science and engineering.
