For appointment as a Professor or an Associate Professor, the applicant should possess a doctoral degree and substantial research and teaching experience in higher education institutes, significant scholarly publications and academic achievements, and especially to possess strong ability to guide the development of the relevant programmes.

For appointment as an Assistant Professor, the applicant should have at least 5 years of relevant experience and should have a good track record in research and scholarly activities.

For Lectureship, the applicant should hold at least a master's degree or above in a relevant discipline and where applicable, relevant professional qualifications.

Successful appointees should have a strong commitment to teaching excellence, quality research and service to the department and to the College as a whole.
