Architecture Department Establishing Exchange Programmes with University of Illinois at Chicago, USA

July 2007

The Head of Department of Architecture, Professor Paul CHU visited University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) in the beginning of July. After the campus tour, Professor Sharon Harr showed Professor Chu around the year-end exhibition venue and introduced him to Professor David Brown (Associate Director of Academic Programs and Director of Graduate Studies), Professor Judith K. De Jong (Director of Undergraduate Studies) and Dean of Students Vincenzo Paglione. The group exchanged ideas of their programme structure and academic direction, and further discussed logistics of setting up academic links and exchange programmes. The final agreement between the two departments is under preparation and it is expected that the exchange programme will start from the spring semester of 2008.
